With Love in the air I thought it would be fitting to go into something a bit deeper than most of you are use to hearing. I want to talk about my marriage. I know, stop the press what have you heard and I'm sure you have heard a lot, but is it all true. Tis the year we will find out. lol But on an serious note. People think great marriages and relationships come from that four letter word. While that is true, being in a relationship for 7 years has taught me that it does take more than that. You can never stop constantly wanting to work with your partner to better your relationship. To understand your relationship. To work on your relationship. Because like all things even a relationship can become stale. So where do you give it more life? I believe it's in the work you do to continually grow with your partner. I've also learned that nothing is guaranteed and no matter how much you love each other at any point it can end. So don't take any smile for granted, any kind gesture or thank you. So I've committed this year to making sure that I don't forget those things. So while chocolates and flowers are nice and I've done those thing. Thanks to my friends at 1-800 flowers. :)
In the spirit of the 7 years I have been with my wife. We've been married for going on 4 and started dating 7 years ago, if that makes sense. I wanted to ask Her seven questions to better understand Her and what her hopes and dreams are. I may know some of these answers but I'm never going to stop learning about Her. People change and so do their hopes and dreams and what they get excited about. So it's never hurts to ask them again.
1. What are your dreams?
To be a Mom! Literally tho! I’ve always had dreams to be a Mommy & to be successful. I want to be able to provide for my children, as my parents have provided for me. Giving back is huge. Being in a position of success, any person in their right mind should want to give back! To bless other people.
2. What would you say has been
the happiest day of your life?
That’s honestly kind of a hard question. There’s been lots of happy moments! I’ll never forget the time I rode my bike, without the training wheels ;)) by myself for the first time! Or, ace’d a test at school! The day we moved into a BRAND NEW house that was built from the ground up. From start to finish was pretty exciting! The smell, the lay out, the space we finally had! My family & I were so thrilled to move into such a beautiful home that my parents had worked so hard for. But I would say, the icing on the cake... What specifically comes to mind, was the day I got to marry you! My heart was so full. Never in my life had I felt so complete! The moment you know you’re ready for marriage, is when it doesn’t scare you! I proudly signed on that dotted line to become Mrs. Chambers.
3. Why did you choose that day?
For obvious reasons. I mean, OBVIOUSLY! LOL! The day we said, “I DO” was magical! It felt different.. We were different.. It was no longer a relationship, but a unity. It was like, “That’s my Husband!” “That’s my Wife!” Do you guys know how long it took me to catch myself from saying Fiancé? :))
4. What do you wish you could spend more time on each week?
Honestly? My honest answer? This may sound selfish, or cliche. I don’t mean it to. But, I would say. Taking care of myself more. I’m on my feet throughout the day. Every single day for about 8 hours. My line of work I stand a lot! On concrete. Self help and taking care of yourself is beyond important. Listen to your body. Pamper yourself. I like to get my nails/toes done! If I could, I would 100% spend more time on getting Facials, Massages, Aromatherapy etc. Self happiness is huge! You have to feel good/look good to be the best version of yourself every single day!
5. Can you tell me something about yourself that I don’t already know–and that might surprise me?
I LOOOOOOOOVVEEEEE miniature things! For example: Miniature A1 sauces.. Tajin bottles.. Tabasco sauce.. Anything miniature I’m overly obsessed with! THEY ARE SO CUTE! For the simple fact, that you can just throw them in your purse & go.
6. What would you say gives you the most fulfillment in your life?
YOU😍. I cannot breathe or live life happily without music. MUSIC IS LIFE! It’s my way of going through life, & expressing myself. Also, if you know me, you all know how much this is SO true. 👉🏽 When things are stocked/organized/labeled & my house is clean! My home is my happy place. When I come home, I love to kick my feet up after a long day and enjoy a glass of wine & put on a candle. Which by the way, can I add something to my bucket list? Let’s go to a winery and step on some grapes & make some of our own wine!
7. Can I share with you the reasons why I love you so much?
BRYANA: Of course. LOL I wasn't expecting that question. But yes. Go ahead.
JUSTIN: By the way those were great answers. That was definitely a fun read! The miniatures were my favorite, because I feel like I should have known that but I didn't lol. :)
I could sit here and be like your beautiful, your caring, your this, your that but those are all things you know already. While those things are wonderful and the perks I get being married to you. What truly makes me love you so much is seeing you become your own person, free of judgement, independent and changed. How much effort you put in to better yourself. It's probably my top thing though. I think it's easy to say all those gushy things. But as you and I have both learned over this last year. In order for you to be happy with someone you need to be happy with yourself. I fall more and more in love with you as I see you overcome the obstacles that have held you back from being the best version of yourself. You know me I'm an over achiever, and I realized that type of dedication is unrealistic to expect of other people. But I've seen you make that conscious effort to step out of routine of things that brought negative results and put effort into the things that make a positive difference in your life. In turn making me see you differently, as well as stronger. I think strong is beautiful and you have been so strong through this time of transition with all things that have happened. For me that's made me love you so much more. What you're blooming into is something to marvel at. My heart skips a beat when I think about just how beautiful you truly have and are becoming.
